Finance and Money

If you are struggling with money management or making your cash work for you then WV10 Consortium and our partners can help.

We can offer a friendly ear to your problems and come up with the best route of attack to overcome them and put you back on the right path.

This includes accessing our money and debt management service (offered through our Money Smart Team/Citizen Advice Bureau) and access to savings and loans through Wolverhampton City Credit Union.

Our Cooking on a Budget initiative is also going from strength to strength, with our recently launched WV10 cookbook, developed by local families and volunteers on our HeadStart programme, proving a huge success.

The 82-page book shows people how they can provide three meals a day using fresh produce and a bit of creative thinking for less than £40 per week.

There are food facts, meal plans, budgeting help and lots of different meal ideas covering breakfast, lunch and dinner, including anything from toad in the hole and fish curry, to potato, onion and carrot bake and apple and blackberry crumble.
